Welcome to the web site for the 2008 Eastern Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships, hosted by the Richmond Figure Skating Club.

This three-day event will be held in Richmond, Va., on Jan. 24-26, 2008 at the Richmond Coliseum. Nearly 2,000 athletes and coaches from the Eastern section of the United States will be participating in these exciting qualifying championships.

The championships are held annually to crown the team champions in six developmental and eight competition levels in each section of the country. The top placements in the competitive levels will then advance to the 2008 U.S. Synchronized Team Skating Championships in Providence, Rhode Island in February, 2008.

All competitive events and official practice ice will be held at the Richmond Coliseum and unofficial practices will be held at both SkateNation Plus in Glen Allen, Virginia and the Richmond Ice Zone in Richmond, Virginia.

The event is hosted by the Richmond Figure Skating Club and sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating.

The Richmond Figure Skating Club has hosted Synchronicity 2007, the Southern Synchro Challenge in 2004 and several singles and pairs competitions, including the Virginia Commonwealth Games and our annual Falling Leaves competition in the autumn of each year.

We welcome all skaters, coaches, parents and friends to Richmond and hope that your experience will be an enjoyable one.
